Snow showers in east With high pressure building in across the United Kingdom. The upcoming week is looking generally dry and cold with sunny spells. Some rain though on Sunday with a risk of wintry showers across some parts of eastern England. Frosts will be widespread and locally hard through this week but perhaps not as severe as of late. More cloud in the south which may be thick enough for scattered snow flurries. A frost to come tonight with snow showers around the coasts of East Anglia and Kent. Highs of 1 to 4C.
Wednesday 08/02/12 There is a risk of snow showers across East Anglia and Kent today. Most parts of the country look dry with sunny spells. Frosty tonight with some dense patches of freezing fog across northern Britain. Highs of 1 to 3C.
Thursday 09/02/12 A cold day. There is a chance of some patchy light snow across eastern parts of England but overall a dry day for most with sunny spells. Frosty again tonight with snow showers around the coasts of eastern England. Expect highs of 2 to 3C.
Friday 10/02/12 Overall with high pressure in control, expect little change in the weather with scattered snow showers around eastern coasts of England with much of the country dry and sunny. It will be windy in the south making it feel even colder. Frosty tonight. Expect highs of 1 to 3C.
Saturday 11/02/12 Mainly dry and cold today with sunny spells. Dense patches of freezing fog may be across northern Britain which may be slow top clear. More breezy again in the south today. Highs of 1 to 2C. Sunday 12/02/12 Little change to come for today. Much of the country looks settled and dry with sunny spells and it remains breezy across southern England and Wales. Still there is a chance of a few snow showers across eastern coasts of Scotland today. A widespread, hard frost to come tonight. Highs of 0 to 2C.
