Monday Low pressure is going to be bringing a wet and windy day through southwest England and south Wales and well as southern Ireland. This rain edges northwards into the rest of Wales (apart from the far north), the Midlands and East Anglia in the afternoon. Brighter weather with heavy and blustery showers follows through the far south of England. For northeast England and eastern Scotland there will be a fair amount of cloud in the morning with one or two spots of rain. This tending to break in the afternoon, although there will be showers. The best of the sunshine reserved for western Scotland and Northern Ireland as well as northwest England. Highs at a cool 8 to 10C for most, but 12C in the far southwest.
Monday Night Strong winds and rain through much of central and southern England tonight, the whole area slowly edging east and north to affect northeast England later. Drier weather but with scattered showers over Ireland, west Wales and western Scotland. An area of more persistent rain could affect northeast Scotland. Lows will be 2 to 6C.
Tuesday Low pressure will still be to the east of the country on Tuesday, with an occluded front affecting East Anglia, the east Midlands and the southern parts of northeast England, bringing an area of rain here. This should fade into the afternoon although the coasts of northeast England and then southeast England may see some rain during the afternoon and evening. Some cloud and rain affecting the far north of Scotland. Showers developing through the rest of England and Wales, these tending to be rather scattered. Highs at 8C in northern Scotland, 12C in southern England.
Wednesday Another area of low pressure forms across southern England on Wednesday. This brings cloud, strong winds and some heavy periods of rain into much of southern England and Wales. Across northern England, Scotland and Ireland there will be some showers, bit brighter spells too, the best of them in the west. More persistent rain may affect southeast and eastern Scotland. Highs at 8 to 11C.
