Week ahead: No Sign of Summer - Wet and Chilly, Jun 06 - 08:31

Little Temperature Change The projected spell of unsettled and cool weather looks set to persist right through this upcoming week with all areas expected to see further spells of rain followed by heavy showers. Temperatures overall will be disappointingly low for June. For the weather for the next few days click here Saturday 09/06/12 Unsettled across the United Kingdom throughout the course of the day. Most parts can expect showers, interspersed with sunnier, dry spells although the southeast of England could see a heavier and persistent rain coming in late in the afternoon. This spreads across all parts of England and Wales in the evening and night. Expect highs of 12 to 16C.

Sunday 10/06/12 Outbreaks of rain are expected across northern parts of England today but to the north and south of this rain band, expect plenty of heavy showers with the risk of thunder. Feeling cool with highs of 12 to 16C.

Monday 11/06/12 Partly to mostly cloudy with further showers across most parts of the country although south west England may escape with a dry day. Mainly dry across the country tonight but misty. Highs of 15 to 17C.

Tuesday 12/06/12 Most parts of the country will see showers developing and some will be heavy in the afternoon, interspersed with some sunnier spells. During the afternoon though, rain spreads in across southwest England and west Wales. A wet night to come across all of England and Wales. Maximum temperatures of 15 to 17C.

Wednesday 13/06/12 With low pressure in charge, it looks to be another very unsettled day with showers or longer spells of rain for much of the United Kingdom. Expect top temperatures of 14 to 17C. Thursday 14/06/12 We may see another front moving south and spreading rain in from Scotland down across England and Wales during the day. Expect highs of 14 to 18C.
