AA Akron Aeros
Aeros 5, Senators 2: Lefty T.J. House (7-3, 3.43) allowed two runs (one earned) in seven innings, and 1B Jesus Aguilar (.222) knocked in two runs to lead Akron to the Eastern League win in Harrisburg, Pa.
Aguilar was playing in his second game with the Aeros. He's a recent call-up from Class A Carolina, where he hit .277 with 12 homers and 58 RBI in 107 games.
AAA Columbus Clippers
Bulls 9, Clippers 7: Durham (N.C.) scored seven runs in the eighth inning -- five off lefty Scott Barnes (4.03) and two off righty Dan Wheeler (2-3, 2.76) and won the International League game Wednesday in Columbus.
Barnes allowed two hits and walked three in one-third on an inning.
Lefty David Huff (5.34) started for Columbus and gave up two runs in seven innings on four hits and two walks.
Clippers 2B Cord Phelps (.277) had four hits -- two doubles, a single and his 14th homer of the season -- and drove in four runs. Columbus 1B Jared Goedert (.296) hit his 11th homer.
A Lake County Captains
Captains 7, Dragons 0: Lefty Shawn Morimando (6-4, 3.50) threw six scoreless innings, and RF Jordan Smith (.314) and 1B Jerrud Sabourin (.307) each had two hits and two RBI to lead Lake County to the Midwest League win in Dayton, Ohio.
Morimando allowed two hits, walked none and fanned six. Captains right-handed reliever Nicholas Pasquale (1.88) allowed three hits in two innings and righty Antwonie Hubbard (2.21) pitched a hitless ninth.
A Mahoning Valley Scrappers
Scrappers 5, Doubledays 4: Mahoning Valley 1B Erik Gonzalez (.194) hit his first homer of the season in the Scrappers' New York-Penn League win in Niles, Ohio.
