Cloudy start for many, rain in the north and west but fair through Scotland and Northern Ireland Good morning. It is another cloudy start to the day over much of England. There are some spots of drizzle affecting more eastern counties, but these are likely to be fading away through the morning. Further west the cloud is starting to break and there are some bright or sunny spells affecting Wales and southwest England. It's here where the best sunshine will be this morning, these sunny spells edging through the Midlands into the afternoon. Feeling warm in the sunshine too.
A cold front is moving southeast through northern England and Ireland and this is going to be bringing some rain with it, mostly of it focused in the west; the rain reaching west and north Wales through this afternoon and then turning heavy at times here too. For Scotland the day will be brighter and cooler. There will be sunny spells, with the best of them tending to be through more northern and western areas. Staying fair through Northern Ireland too with some more sunshine to come here.
Have a great day. Simon me at simon.keeling@weatheronline.co.uk
