Monday A bright but cold start to Monday morning. A northwesterly flow is going to be affecting the country brigig some good spells of sunshine. There will be some showers around, mainly to the north and west, with a few of them wintry over the hills of western and southern Scotland. A few showers into Wales and the north Midlands in the afternoon, and some making it through southwest England too. But for most it should be a coolafternoon with the best sunshine in the east as cloud increases to the west. Highs at 10C in the south of England, 5C in northern Scotland.
Monday Night A ridge of high pressure builds through the country overnight into Tuesday. This leads to a slight frost forming, especially through more central and eastern areas. To the west cloud is going to be increasing as a warm front approaches, bringing rain through Ireland and western Scotland by morning, with drizzle on western coasts of Wales. Lows near -2C to 3C in the west.
Tuesday A warm front will be passing east over the whole country through Tuesday. This brings a wet spell of weather with some of the rain heavy in places, and perhaps with a spell of snow for sveral hours over the Scottish hills and the Pennines. The rain should eas in the afternoon, although western coasts and hills are always prone to some heavier bursts. Turning misty and murky for all as well. Highs near 4C in eastern England, but increasing to 12C in the west.
Wednesday A broad warm sector covers the country on Wednesday, with a warm front to the east and a cold front to the west. There will be lots of cloud around with some outbreaks of light rain and drizzle. Turning brighter in more central and eastern areas through the morning, but as the cold front moves into the west there will be some heavy periods of rai and strong winds developign for western Scotland, western England, Wales and Ireland. Highs at 6 to 11C.
