QUARTER-FINAL DRAW

BRIXTON OLD BOYS A 3 REDBRIDGE JEWISH CARE A 2
Cup holders Redbridge A were dramatically dumped out of the JC League Cup as a late winner from Jamie Kent clinched a memorable win for John Nitka's men.

Hershkorn put Brixton ahead from the penalty spot six minutes into the second half after Kent had been brought down in the area.

Redbridge equalised on 70 minutes and went 2-1 up on 73 minutes with strikes from Adam Stolerman and Danny Sugarman, but Brixton did not their heads drop with Michael Posner slotted home to make it 2-2

Brixton fought for every ball and the winner came on 81 minutes when alon Hershkorn made a terrific run to centre the ball for Kent to head home.

A delighted John Nitka told JC Sport: "We were outstanding today from our defence through midfield to the forwards giving 100 per cent and showing once again we are good enough to beat any team.

"We are now 90 minutes away from the final and in the run in we've beaten Neasden A and Redbridge A. Who's next?"

However, home keeper Steven Murad kept Fortune in the game with two excellent saves. Fortune held firm, with Benji Mannheim excellent once again in defence, and they hit RJC with a quick break to open the scoring with 18 minutes to go - Marks the scorer following excellent work by Michael Goldberg.

Redbridge threw everything at Fortune who defended superbly and hit them once more in injury time threw Rubinstein, again after great work from Goldberg.
