SUNDAY LONDON FA CUP QUARTER-FINAL

BRIXTON OLD BOYS A 1 LORD STANLEY 5
Brixton's Sunday LFA run came to an end as they were beaten 5-1 by Lord Stanley.

Alon Hershkorn had put Brixton ahead after 15 minutes.

Brixton manager John Nitka told JC Sport: "Being a referee myself, I know how hard it is to officiate in these sort of games and although I do not make a habit of criticising fellow referees, I believe this was a game that if the referee knew what he was doing it would have been much closer.

"Some decisions were ridiculous and the yellow and red cards were laughable. After taking the lead, the tide turned with a tirade of yellow cards to my players for trying to talk to the referee. He didn't want to know. He wanted to make it his game!

2-1 down at half time, we had a stonewall penalty turned down 10 minutes into the second half. Then the ref decided to show more yellow cards to both teams and eventually the red to our players and we ended up with nine men on the field. It killed the game.

"Lord Stanley are a good team and sometimes outplayed us but we are a team that never gives up.

"Full credit to our goalkeeper Jake Doffman, who in my opinion was man of the match. He pulled off some brilliant saves.

"We have had a great run in this cup and now must concentrate on the league as we have only played six games.

"My main aim - as I said at the beginning of the season - is to get promoted to the Premier Division."

RAIDERS ROAR INTO LAST FOUR
NORTH LONDON RAIDERS A 6 HENDON UNITED SPORTS CLUB B 0
Two goals apiece from Matt Stock and Igal Yahya inspired North London Raiders A to a convincing 6-0 victory over Division Two promotion hopefuls Hendon B to book their place in the last four of the JC League Cup.

The Raiders stormed into a 4-0 lead at the interval through a brace from Stock, Yahya one and an own goal following an excellent cross from Matt Leader.

L'Orange did not let up with the second half with Yahya and another own goal, this time from a dangerous delivery from Adam Posner, taking them through.

A Raiders spokesman told JC Sport: "The boys displayed the right attitude and focus throughout. The performances of Matt Stock and Toby Katz were excellent in what was a good team performance.

"The clean sheet was also pleasing against a Hendon team that played until the final whistle. Credit to them for not letting their heads drop.

"Now we can look forward to a semi-final but attention now returns to the league where we need to put in this level of performance every match between now and the end of the season.

Hendon joint-manager Motty Korman told JC Sport: "We can have no complaints with the result. Our defending was sloppy for a couple of the goals but Raiders full deserved their victory with a clinical and professional performance."

A late effort from Oli Craig saw Lions come away with a hard-earned points following a titanic battle against Faithfold at Rowley Lane.

Mike Pearson blasted home his 12th league goal of the season against his former club but it wasn't enough to give Faithfold maximum points.

Faithfold manager Zuriel Solomon told JC Sport: "I'm a bit disappointed but a draw was probably a fair result.

"It's always good to pick up a point as there are still lots of games to go."

The east Londoners stormed into a 3-0 lead at the break and the points were cemented with an own goal.

Harmen scored a consolation 15 minutes from time.

Delighted Chigwell player-manager Richard Slater told JC Sport: "I can't have too many complaints with a 5-1 win away from home, although we should have been more clinical during the last 25 minutes, but we got the job done today."

FORTUNE KEEP MONTANA ON A SLIPPERY SLOPE
MONTANA BOCA UNITED 2 TEMPLE FORTUNE A 4
Strikes from Paul Walker, Jason Miller, Brett Stead and Kane Gilbery helped Temple Fortune A complete back-to-back wins as they inflicted another defeat on relegation-haunted Montana.

Both teams struggle to get to grips with an icy surface in a game where Fortune failed to repeat the level of performance against Redbridge last week.

However, they somehow found ourselves 3-0 up, but then completely took allowed Montana back into the game after taking their foot off the gas - conceding two extremely sloppy goals to set up a nervy final five minutes.

Gilbery wrapped up a points with a fourth goal in injury time.

Fortune assistant-manager Jack Morris told JC Sport: "I'm very happy with the three points, but if we play like that next week then we'll be in trouble.

"Fair play to Montana as well after their 9-0 loss last week. They never gave up and probably deserved a point."

REDBRIDGE JEWISH CARE B 0 OAKWOOD 2
Oakwood stormed joint-top of the table with Josh Rose and Jason Lindsay finding the net to dismantle long-time leaders Redbridge B at Fairlop.

Jubilant Oaks joint-manager Ric Blank told JC Sport: "It was a massive game for us today and we have now won five on the trot.

"It was a superb, disciplined performance and we controlled the game.

"We defended brilliantly as a team and centre halves Adam Levine and Ilan Scorah were immense all game.

"Josh Rose made a fantastic debut for us in the middle of the park and we were a constant threat up front with Jason Lindsay leading the line well.

"We're looking forward to Brixton next week already in what will be another difficult game."

Camden's Nick Kagan told JC Sport: "After ice skating for the first 20, some football broke out. L'Equipe gave a good account of themselves and played hard, but our pace and skill was too much for them today.

BLIZZARD RUE MISSED PENALTY
BLIZZARD STORM 0 NORTH WEST NEASDEN C 0
North West Neasden C's promotion hopes were dealt a blow as they came away from Blizzard Storm with a hard-earned draw.

Blizzard had the better of the first half and they should have taken the lead but Stefan Simons hit the bar with a penalty.

Neasden improved in the second half in which Blizzard had Ben Robuck sent off towards the end.

Blizzard Storm boss Simon Linden told JC Sport: "We played very well today, a draw was possibly a fair result although I do think we edged the game in the first half.

"We had a lot more quality about our team but couldn't take a few first half chances that could have seen us home and dry.

"Neasden came on second half and looked more of a threat. It frustrates me that we started the season so poorly because we are a good side that could easily be in a promotion race like Neasden as proved the previous season."

NWW player-manager Louis Taylor told JC Sport: "It was a pretty dull game. We had a few chances but not much else to report."

Hat-tricks from FABIO REVIECCIO and CRAIG SANDFORD helped Glenthorne make it 12 out of 12 with an 8-0 demolition over JLGB in the top against bottom clash at Peter May.

Further strikes from Dan Lassman and James Rubin completed the rout.

JLGB had Glenthorne worried for the first 30 minutes as they were unable to break JLGB down. JLGB were having their fair share of the play as well and for a 10-minute spell were on top.

Glenthorne scored on the half hour but it remained quite even before two late goals in the first half saw a half time scoreline of 3-0.

JLGB were forced down to 10 with 30 mins on the clock as Dan Levy went off injured. Levy had again prevented Craig Sandford from scoring whilst he was on the pitch, but that was to change. Glenthorne scored a further five goals with Sandford on the scoresheet.

JLGB struggled with 10 men and couldn't get enough possession to hold Glenthorne off.

BRADY LATE SHOW LEAVES ATHLETICO BROKEN-HEARTED
BRADY MACCABI B 3 ATHLETICO FINCHLEY 1
Brady B climbed into second place after stopping in-form Athletico in their tracks.

After Jake Barnett dislocating his shoulder, and late pull-outs from Ashley Diamond and Sam Collins, Athletico were forced to play with nine men for the first 20 minutes.

Athletico managed to hold off Brady in the first 45 and it was 0-0 at half time.

In the second half, Brady went one up with a sweet shot from Reiss Mogilner.

Athletico equalised with superb header from captain Sam Marchant from a Ben Mandell free kick.

Athletico thought they had done enough to earn a point but a defensive error in the 86th minute let Brady get in behind the Finchley defence. The ball was cut back to the Brady captain who cooley slotted the ball into the bottom right corner.

Finchley applied as much pressure as they could but left gaps at the back and Brady counter-attacked with Reiss Mogilner tapping in Brady's third in stoppage time.

Athletico chairman Zach Margolin told JC Sport: "Today we deserved a point. Brady are a good side but we matched them defensively for 86 minutes.

"The mistake was a shame but we all make mistakes. The lads played well today and should all be proud."

JEWVENTUS FRUSTRATES SPEC FC
JEWVENTUS 0 SPEC FC 0
SPEC FC's promotion hopes received a dent as they were held by Jewventus at Chase Lodge.

In a match where referee Laurence Thorne received top marks from the home team, the efforts of SPEC's Ricky Lawrence and Ashley Burns were unable to help the visitors over the line.

Jewventus player-manager Gabriel John told JC Sport: "It was a super, super performance. I think SPEC saved (no pun intended) some players for their next set of games and under-estimated us a little.

"Ricky Lawerence and Ash Burns were awesome but all 12 of my players deserve a shout for team of the week.

"No goals conceded and truly brilliant I'm a very proud manager today."

HART PUTS RAIDERS C IN 7TH HEAVEN
NORTH LONDON RAIDERS C 7 BOCA JEWNIORS 1
A superb hat-trick from BEN HART helped North London Raiders C get their season back on track with an easy win over basement battlers Boca in Hatfield.

Further strikes from Jonny Sandrove (2), Rob Samuelson and Joe Newton put the icing on the cake.

Raiders assistant-manager Richie Abrahams told JC Sport: "After three disappointing results on the spin, we knew we had to make this game count against a Boca team who have found things difficult so far this season, especially with the gaffer on a scouting trip to Swansea to check on the talent in Wales.

"The final result makes it look easy but I think all of our lads know that - while we had plenty of chances to rack up the goals - we made it difficult for ourselves letting in an early goal to go 1-0 down.

"Credit to the lads though, as within two minutes we were leading and never looked like letting up from there.

"Some of our passing football in the first half was fantastic and we looked back to the team who won their first eight games of the season.

"Going in at half time 6-1 up, I think we took our foot of the pedal in the first half and will be saving our energy for next weekend's match against SPEC which all the boys are looking forward to.

"It's great to get another three points up on the board and hopefully we can carry the good performance and momentum on to next week.

"A special mention has to go Ben Stetson for stepping up in our 90 minutes of need to move backwards from his usual berth at right back, to between the sticks. A great showing from the ugg-booted wonderkid."
