Wadsworth 60, Highland 35: The Grizzlies (17-3) outscored Highland, 31-13, in the second half. Rachel Goddard led the Grizzlies with 13 points. Jessie Gearhart had 10.
Ravenna 56, Akron Springfield 14: The Ravens remain undefeated following their latest victory. Moniqua Smith led the Ravens, ranked No. 10 in The Plain Dealer poll, with 17 points.
Boys basketball
Kenston 60, Bedford 59: Eric Truog scored 24 points to lead the Bombers, No. 18 in The Plain Dealer poll, to victory. Antonio Rucker led the Bearcats with 15 points.
Hockey
CVCA 9, Twinsburg 0: Luke Sunde scored four goals and Mark Sunde added two to help lead the Royals to victory in the Kent District at Kent State Ice Arena.
