JC MSFL Goal of the Week: October 2

There were some more cracking strikes on target on Matchday Five of the JC MSFL season. Here is the pick of the bunch.

WINNER: Dan Lassman (Glenthorne B) - stunning winning goal against Catford. At 2-2 he picked up the ball on the edge of the box (far left) cut in, and hit a shot that stuck in the corner. Four keepers wouldn't have saved it!

NOMINATIONS

1. Elliott Bloom (Neasden C) - came off the bench to score a spectacular long-range drive

2. James Kaye (Brixton A) - a screamer from outside the box

3. Daniel Cohen (FC Team A) - last minute of the game flicked the ball over defenders head before volleying over the keeper

4. Saul Conway (Shirley Park) - GOAL 1 - truly one of the best goals joint-manager Dave Lusman has seen. The ball dropped over his sholder and whilst holding off a defender and with one sweet trick, he turns his man and half volleyed the ball home from 30 yards straight in then top corner. Unbelivable tekkers

5. Saul Conway (Shirley Park) - GOAL 2 - A beautiful team goal reminiscent of Brazil in the 82 World Cup. It started of down the left wing with Dan Beckworth taking on his man for pace. As he got past his man, he made a reverse pass back into the path of onrushing Plotnek. With one touch Plotnek has drilled a low cross into the feet of Gideon Gold who took a touch to knock it round his man and then shaped up to shoot, but instead back-heeled the ball to Conway leaving three defenders lying on the floor. Conway cool as a cucumber slotted the ball home beautifully into the bottom left hand corner

6. James Joseph (Brady B) - an audacious lob by following a delightful lofted ball from Jason Davis

7. Mark Pasha (Athletic Bilbaum) - received the ball 20 yards out to the right of the D and quickly shifted it out of his feet before driving a sweetly struck shot into the bottom right corner past the diving Boca keeper

8. Lee Cash (NW Neasden A) - winning goal came from a superb bit of technique as Cash controlled a ball out of the air and let it bounce the smashed a left footed thunderbolt past the keeper
