Paul Levy believes his Republic of Mancunia 2nd side fully deserve their place in the semi-finals of the Harold Feldman Trophy.
Republic cruised past Crumpsall following a 4-0 victory with Gary Freeman, Blake Englander, Gabriel Silva and Andrew Shaffer all on target.
Levy says his players merited their victory over a Crumpsall team bang in form and is now eyeing further progress.
?We were the better team and we were full value for our win,? said Levy.
?It was a pretty comfortable win in the end and the game was played in a good spirit.
?Gab Silva?s goal was really fantastic. It was a great strike from 30-yards and was the pick of the goals.
?Now we can concentrate on a really big match against South Manchester 2nd next weekend.?
Republic 2nd are third in the MJSL but are ten points behind league leaders Haroldeans having played two games more.
But Levy insists his players have not given up landing the league title, despite the huge points deficit.
?We know the cups are our best chance of winning something but we?re not giving up on the league yet,? he added.
?Haroldeans might crumble, so we need to keep winning.?
