Morning Call: Mainly dry, sunny spells - Wet for northern Scotland, Oct 12 - 06:04

A few showers into the weekend A pretty miserable, cold and wet day across northern Scotland with heavy, persistent rain. A better day across England and Wales with just a few showers in the west. Most central and eastern areas will be dry in the main with sunshine developing. Highs of 10 to 13C.

This evening and tonight that rain tends to linger across northern Scotland. The rest of the county looks mainly dry with clear spells. With the winds falling light we could see a few pockets of frost developing in the north and west. Lows tonight of 2 to 8C.

If you're heading abroad, much of Europe is cooler and unsettled. Be sure to check out the Weatheronline Week Ahead forecast for more information weather across the United Kingdom for the next seven days. Have a good day. Simon Email me at simon.keeling@weatheronline.co.uk
