PRINCE William and Kate Middleton will receive a specially-designed piece of Welsh crystal as a wedding gift from the people of Wales.
The unique piece, which will be presented to mark their marriage on Friday, has been crafted by the Welsh Royal Crystal company in Rhayader.
First Minister Carwyn Jones said: "It is fitting that the happy couple receive a unique piece of Welsh crystal as a wedding gift from the people of Wales as they have strong links with the country and this is where they have chosen to make their home. I wish the Royal couple all the very best for their big day, and every happiness for the rest of their lives together."
The company has recently changed hands, with two of the firm's employees taking over its running from the original owner.
It was originally set up in 1986 to create jobs and boost tourism in the area.
The gift will be a joint present from the Welsh Assembly Government and the National Assembly for Wales, on behalf of the people of Wales.
David Thomas, of the Welsh Royal Crystal company, added: "It has been an honour and privilege for both Alan O'Neill and myself as the new owners of Welsh Royal Crystal to have designed and handcrafted such an important gift for the Royal couple."
