Morning Call: Showers & rain - Sweeping east, Oct 02 - 06:03

Showers and rain spreading eastwards, breezy too Good morning, It's a fair start to the morning across eastern parts of England with some bright spells here. However, things tend to go downhill through the day with cloud increasing from the west. In fact, across western areas the cloud has already arrived.

Periods of rain this morning in Ireland, western Scotland, Wales and the far west of England. The cloud is going to be thickening and spreading eastwards with the rain turning more persistent from the west during the day.

This leads to a wet and windy afternoon for many as the rain band spreads east. We are hopeful that brighter, drier weather will reach Ireland later in the afternoon, and getting brighter in northern and western Scotland.

Have a great day. Simon me at simon.keeling@weatheronline.co.uk
