Gales in the north and west A fine spring afternoon to come across England and Wales too with temperatures hitting 20C But rather cloudy in the morning with a few spots of drizzle first. Heavier rain to come in the north of Scotland today. Another windy day with gales in the west.
For this evening more rain in the far north fine elsewhere. Over night rain and showers will affect all but central and south east England as gales continue.
