Columbus 3B Jared Goedert (.290) had two hits, including his 12th homer of the season in Clippers loss to Toledo.

Columbus righty Tyler Sturdevant (5.87) gave up four runs in 1 1/3 innings of relief as the Clippers lost the International League game Wednesday to visiting Toledo.

A Lake County Captains

Lake County 2B Jose Ramirez (.345) hit his second homer of the season and drove in three runs to lead the Captains past South Bend (Ind.) at Classic Park in Eastlake.

A Mahoning Valley Scrappers

Muckdogs 3, Scrappers 2

Mahoning Valley righty Jake Sisco (4.13) allowed just one run in seven innings, but the Scrappers lost the New York-Penn League game in Batavia, N.Y.

Independent Lake Erie Crushers

Crushers 6, Road Warriors 3

Lake Erie scored four times in the seventh to win the Frontier League game in Avon.
