Lake Erie Monsters begin road trip with shutout loss at Milwaukee

Goaltender Jason Bacashihua has 18 saves for the Monsters.

Goaltender Jeremy Smith had 31 saves for the Admirals, and the Lake Erie Monsters fell to host Milwaukee, 3-0, in American Hockey League play Friday at the Bradley Center.

Ryan Thang had an unassisted goal for Milwaukee in the first period, when the teams managed seven shots each.

Mark Santorelli found the net for the Admirals in the second period. Linus Klasen earned the assist.

Lake Erie outshot Milwaukee, 17-7, in the second but could not find the net.

Milwaukee's Jamie Lundmark scored a power-play goal in the third period, with assists credited to Aaron Johnson and Andreas Thuresson.

Goaltender Jason Bacashihua had 18 saves for the Monsters.
