Second chance to catch Status Quo rocking live at Glastonbury Abbey Extravaganza

Tickets go on sale today for Status Quo's second appearance at the Glastonbury Abbey Extravaganza.

Next year's event is the 16th organised by Glastonbury Festival founder Michael Eavis, with the legendary rockers topping the bill on August 6 and Katherine Jenkins and the National Symphony Orchestra on August 7.

Status Quo sold out the event when they appeared in 2009 and their show was followed this summer by legendary ska rockers Madness, which also sold out.

Mr Eavis said: "I am delighted Status Quo has agreed to come back to the Extravaganza again as tickets sold out so quickly the last time they played.

" It was such a success last time – people are still talking about the show."

Tickets cost 32.50 for adults and 17.50 for children aged six to 16, and can be bought online at www.glastonburyextravaganza.co.uk, by calling 01458 834596 during office hours or visiting the Glastonbury Festival Office in Northload Street, Glastonbury, Monday to Friday, or the Glastonbury Abbey Shop in Magdalene Street.
