The Big Gig is to return to Holcombe this summer with three bands from Midsomer Norton already lined up to make it an event to remember.
Following the success of last year's Big Gig, band members of Crazy 88, Indie-cision and Gass decided to repeat the performance and provide a platform for local bands to take the stage at the mini festival to be held at Ash Farm on Saturday, June 18.
Last year's Big Gig raised 2,000 for charity from ticket sales alone, and gave music fans the chance to see eight bands.
The idea for the gig originated from the three bands wanting to get together for a jamming session.
They needed somewhere large enough for their local following to be able to enjoy the music and dance the night away.
Holcombe farmer Simon Eade stepped in to offer his barn as a venue and the event started to take shape.
Charging for tickets was an afterthought and one which successfully raised money for a number of charities including the Pattaya Orphanage.
Indie-cision's Pete Rupprich said: "We were blown away by the number of people who turned out to support us and the other bands. The feedback from the crowd was amazing and everyone had such a good time that doing it again was a no-brainer."
Choosing the date, Saturday June 18, was a hard decision.
Paul Swift, from Gass, explained: "This is the weekend before Glastonbury but we decided that, with Glastonbury Festival sold out, and so many local bands not being given the opportunity to perform there, this would be an ideal opportunity to showcase bands from the area and give local people their own mini festival."
Crazy88's Paul Ring said: "Donating to charity was an added bonus. It's fantastic that we can stand on a stage in a barn, jamming with mates, giving youngsters an opportunity to play to a new audience, and raise money for good causes at the same time. It's quids in all round!"
Tickets will be available from Waterhouse Independent Financial Advisers in Midsomer Norton nearer the time.
