POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a 24-year-old man was punched to the ground and repeatedly kicked by men with "body builders' physiques".
The two attackers then fled in a vehicle believed to be a white or silver "Subaru-like" vehicle.
The victim later needed treatment for facial injuries in Morriston Hospital, and officers are urging anyone with information to come forward.
The attack happened at around 6.30pm on Wednesday, March 16, on Heol Gwyrosydd, Penlan, Swansea.
Inspector Phil Thomas said: "This appears to be a totally unprovoked attack on a young man who was minding his own business.
"The incident has occurred on one of the main roads which runs through the Penlan area, when no doubt there would have been a number of both pedestrians and vehicles out in the vicinity."
"I am appealing to anyone who saw the attack or who has any relevant information to come forward."
Police said the attack happened after the two suspects approached the victim and briefly engaged him in conversation.
They then punched him in he head, causing him to fall to the ground, and continued the assault by repeatedly kicking him.
Officers have issued descriptions of two men they want to talk to in relation to the assault.
Both are described as white, and with "body builders' physiques".
One was wearing a white shirt and had scars and tattoos on his left forearm, while the other was wearing a pair of multi-coloured Nike trainers.
