JC CYRIL ANEKSTEIN CUP FINAL

HENDON UNITED SPORTS CLUB A 3 BRADY MACCABI A 1
Strikes from JC star man Greg Corin, super-sub Josh Bentley and a penalty from Ari Last helped Hendon clinch the first part of a possible treble as they saw off Premier Division rivals Brady at a rain-soaked Wingate & Finchley.

Corin opened the scoring midway through the first half, tapping home at the far post following an excellent cross from Avidan Last.

Jonny Ellis had hauled Brady level with the last kick of the first half after Hendon left-back Martin Smulovitch had brought down Jonathan Green.

Hendon stepped up a gear in the second half with Bentley cracking home a stunning volley with one of his first touches, before Last converted a twice-taken penalty.

Manager David Garbacz told JC Sport: "I think the result was thoroughly deserved."

FC TEAM SHOW FAITHFOLD WHAT FOUR
FAITHFOLD A 0 FC TEAM A 4
FC Team A recorded their best-ever result to cap off a solid finish season in the Premier Division.

Two goals from striker Richard Salmon plus one apiece from Matt Drage and Jonny Breger completed a 4-0 demolition of Faithfold A.

Faithfold's misery was compounded when captain Alex Levack was sent off.

Delighted FC Team boss Mitch Young told JC Sport: "What a fantastic way to end a great first season in the Premier Division. The boys were brilliant today we scored some well worked goals and defended brilliantly.

"We have taken 11 points out of the last 15 remaining so this really bodes well for next season. We have learnt a lot and I fully believe in the squad and with one or two changes, I fully believe we can make a real go of it.

"I would like to thank Jonny and all the team for their hard work this season. We didn't want it to end the way we were playing, but we will go into pre-season full of confidence.

"Special mentions for Jon Toby who has been an unsung hero and has been outstanding and it is no suprise since Ed Bloom has come in we have looked like a different side. It's a pleasure ot manage these boys and we have loved it !! Bring it on!"
