JC MSFL DIVISION THREE
TOTTENHAM CHUTSPAH 4 LOUGHTON ORIENT 1
Tottenham Chutspah recorded another handsome victory as they beat fellow new boys Loughton Orient, despite the best efforts of keeper Marc Jacobs.
Loughton Orient came into this game short of five first teamers and faced a further setback when tricky winger James Lester was ruled out at the last minute.
Despite this, they felt confident of being able to pull a result out of the bag and started fairly brightly.
The game turned midway through the first half when Orient were punished on the break. Playing a high line, the home team managed to break clear of the offside trap and, despite the best efforts of the excellent goalkeeper Marc Jacobs, Chutspah managed to score at the second attempt.
The second goal followed soon after and this seemed to spur Orient into life. After forcing Chutspah on to the back foot, Orient swung in a couple of dangerous corners and it was from here that orient managed to get back into it with Adam Conway, pushed back into midfield from last week's centre back position, managing to score direct from the corner.
Chutspah continued to create the better chances in the second half and Orient were thankful to the inspired Jacobs, who produced a number of outstanding saves to keep them in the game.
There was nothing the keeper could do for the third goal however, as he stood helpless after a long punt by the Chutspah defender caught the wind and went sailing in.
Chutspah then scored the fourth soon after and the game was all but over.
Tottenham Chutspah boss Ariel Tamman told JC Sport: "We didn't play as well as last week but the end result was an excellent one.
"We controlled the majority of the match and our defenders were solid. The skipper Jono Gaon scored two of our goals and our third was a stunner from almost the half way line.
"We are excited to play Loughton Orient again next week and I think that we have made a cracking start this season and hope we can keep up the unbeaten record".
An Orient spokesman told JC Sport: "With so many players missing Orient struggled to find any kind of rhythm. With these players set to return next week, including influential captain Ryan Kissin back from injury, they will be hopeful or picking up all three points when the two teams meet again next week."
