UK Forecast: Sunny spells for most - Cloud north & south, Apr 06 - 17:24

Thursday A weak cold front across the south of Wales and southern England will be giving broken cloud but dry conditions here. There will be some sunny spells breaking through the cloud, these lasting into the afternoon. Skies will be brighter across central and northern England, as well as Scotland and Wales. The afternoon stays fine and sunny for much of the country in the afternoon, although across southern coasts cloud is likely. The far north of Scotland will have cloud too, although it should be dry here. Highs at 9C on northern coasts of Scotland, much warmer to the south at 21C in southern England.

Thursday Night Further broken cloud along southern coasts of England with some clearer spells here too. There will be some mist and fog affecting southwest coasts of England as well as southern Ireland. Most of the country will be dry with clear skies and the threat of a few mist and fog patches inland towards morning. Cloudier skies again over northern and western Scotland, although staying dry here. Lows will be to around 3 to 8C.

Friday Any mist or fog patches will be clearing away quickly through Friday morning. High pressure then brings a fine day for almost all parts of the country. There will be plenty of sunshine for all places and it should be feeling fairly warm too. Northern Scotland may well have some cloud, although this is going to be well broken. Highs at 21C in southern England, nearer 11C in northern Scotland.

Saturday The area of high pressure tends to slip to the east through today. This is going to be bringing fair conditions to most parts of the country once again as the winds turn more southeasterly. Plenty of sunshine for almost all areas and feeling warm once again. Cloud is likely top be increasing in more western areas later in the day, this bringing some showers through western parts of Ireland in the afternoon and evening. Highs at 14 to 20C.
