Morning Call: Fair for most - Increased winds tonight, May 19 - 06:03

More sunshine, although a few showers over western Scotland Good morning, Conditions look set fair through the country today. A ridge of high pressure is going to be bringing fair weather to most of the country. There is some very pleasent sunshine this morning over central and southern England and Wales. Broken cloud further north and west, with a few showers affecting the west of Scotland and Ireland. Little change through this afternoon with more sunshine to come across much of the country, and only limited amounts of cloud developing. There will be a few showers troubling western Scotland from time to time, although I expect this to be mainly light and well scattered. Winds may pick up to gale force tonight over western Scotland, with some more persistent rain extending from here to Northern Ireland. Elsewhere it should be dry with plenty of clear spells.

Have a great day. Simon me at simon.keeling@weatheronline.co.uk
