Glastonbury Festival supremo Michael Eavis last night announced the support act for Katherine Jenkins at this year's Extravaganza.
Best recognised when sporting an over-sized moustache in the role of spoof opera star 'GioCompario', real opera star Wynne Evans has proved that he's not just known for his performances during the commercial breaks. And he will be taking to the stage for the Glastonbury Abbey Extravaganza on Sunday August 7
Wynne, from Carmarthen in South Wales, said: "People have sometimes said to me that I don't take opera seriously enough, but as far as I'm aware there's no rulebook that says opera can't be fun too."
His album A Song In My Heart recently reached number 1 in the classical charts and he also took to the stage earlier in the year in the opera 'Anna Nicole' at London's Royal Opera House.
The Bootleg Beatles will be supporting Status Quo on Saturday August 6 for the opening night of this year's event.
