GLASTONBURY Festival has announced details of its annual Emerging Talent Competition (ETC) which gives up and coming artists the opportunity of winning a performance slot at the world famous event.
Entrants from any genre can enter the competition following in the footsteps of previous ETC competitors Scouting for Girls and the Subways. For the 2011 competition, free entries can be made for one week only from Monday 10th January to Monday 17th January.
A panel of 40 of the UK's top music bloggers will help compile a list of 120 of the best acts which will then be whittled down to a shortlist of 10 artists by judges including Glastonbury organisers Michael and Emily Eavis. A live showcase final will be held in April to decide the winner.
