"WELSH Conservatives welcome the opening up of the dilapidated docks area by the proposed Harbour Way dual carriage way.
"Its construction would be a welcome jobs boost for the people of Aberavon in challenging economic times.
"Unfortunately we have seen Labour fail to take measures to help get Aberavon's economy back on its feet.
"We have seen at a national level, by building up massive debts, why the Labour Party cannot be trusted with the economy.
"The Labour-run council has failed to invest in Aberavon during the good years. Our beach front, for example, has great potential but has been neglected by Labour."
