Indians minor leaguers can't get games in either - Farm Report

The Indians weren't the only team struggling with weather last night. Their farm teams dealt with it, too.

Clippers vs. Bats postponed

The International League game between the visiting Louisville Bats and Columbus Clippers was postponed because of rain. No make-up date has been set.

Phillies vs. Aeros suspended

The Eastern League game between the visiting Reading Phillies and Akron Aeros at Canal Park was suspended with one out in the bottom of the third inning because of rain, with Reading ahead, 3-0. The game is scheduled to resume at 1:05 p.m. today. Thirty minutes after completion of that game, the two teams will play their regularly scheduled game, although it will be just seven innings.

Notes: Fans may exchange their Friday tickets for any future home game in 2011, including today’s doubleheader.

Pelicans 10, Indians 1

Two errors, a single, walk and hit batter led to two runs for Myrtle Beach, S.C., in the top of the first inning, and the Pelicans sailed to a Carolina League victory at Kinston, N.C.

Hot Rods vs. Captains postponed

The Captains’ Midwest League game against Bowling Green, Ky., in Eastlake was postponed because of rain. It will be made up as part of a doubleheader, starting at 1 p.m. today. Fans with tickets for Friday night’s game can exchange them for any other regular-season game based on availability.
