After a solid first season in the top-flight, FC Team A will be looking to kick on in 2012/13. Manager Mitch Young reveals his best-laid plans to Danny Caro.
Competitions entered: MSFL Premier, Peter Morrison, Cyril Anekstein, LFA Cup
Hopes for the season: We learnt a lot last year from our experience in the Premier and we achieve our objective. This year the objective is to challenge in all competitions. We have a very solid quad and with a couple of new faces and a couple returning back from injury I have full confidence in my squad. The Premier is a tough division, but there is very little between the sides so I feel this season can be the biggest in the club’s history.
Main challengers: It goes without saying Hendon are the team to beat after winning the treble last year. However, Lions, Brady, Raiders Faithfold have all strengthened so I am predicting a much tighter league all-round.
New signings: Dan Silverman, Adam Rosenfeld, Marc Harris
Is your squad complete or are you still looking to strengthen?
A am very happy with our squad. We have resigned Dan Silverman after a stint in the USA he will help bolster the defence, Adam Rosenfeld has been promoted from our B Team after impressing last season and we have signed young Marc Harris an exciting striker
Captain: Ed Bloom or Gideon Moss - subject to player vote
Ones to watch: Richard Salmon, Simon Peterman, Dan Silverman
Richard Salmon - only scored 13 goals last year, this season will be on fire,
Simon Peterman - has the capability to be one of the best midfielders in the division
Dan Silverman - First time in the Prem but has been waiting for the challenge for 6 years - classy footballing center back
Home ground: Meadow Park, Borehamwood
Sponsors: Guardian Inheritance - http://www.guardianinheritance.com/
What will your team bring to the league this season? I think we will bring a very disciplined well drilled team, hard to break down but very exciting and effective when attacking. We have the best goalkeeper in the MSFL and that is a great platform for success. A strong thriving squad we are ready for the challenge.
