Colder through eastern areas, but mainly fair in the west Friday A fair day across Spain and Portugal with plenty of sunshine to come here throughout the day. There will be more sunshine for much of France too and it should stay dry. Sunny spells for the Low Countries but broken cloud in Germany bringing some patchy rain across more eastern parts. Poland should be fair with sunny spells. A fair day across Hungary, but Austria and Switzerland are likely to be rather cloud and cold with rain at times. More rain across northern parts of Italy and showers for eastern coasts, although the west should be brighter with sunny spells. Low pressure south of Greece brings cool and unsettled weather here with rain or showers at times. More showers to come through Turkey and these could be heavy. A wintry day through Bulgaria and Romania, both being very cold with snow. Fair for the Baltic States with sunny spells, and increasing winds for Finland, although dry here. A cloudy and breezy day for Sweden with some sleet or snow in the mountains to the west. Cloudy for Denmark and drizzle too and a wet and windy day to come across Norway with rain, sleet and snow.
Saturday Another fair day again for Spain and Portugal with northern areas seeing an increase in cloud and periods of rain here. Fair to the south of France with plenty of sunshine, but cloudier skies through western and northern areas bringing periods of rain. Cloud and rain again across the Low Countries and Germany, this heavy at times. More cloud for Poland with some rain and drizzle in the west. Broken cloud and some sunny spells to come through Hungary with drizzle in Austria. Switzerland should be dry with some sunny periods too. Low pressure over Italy brings an unsettled day again here, heavy showers in the south and east, but the north should become brighter and drier. Some showers for Greece too and again these could be heavy. Low pressure for Turkey gives periods of heavy showers, and Bulgaria and Romania are going to be fair and cold with sunny spells. High pressure to the north gives a cold day through Finland and the Baltic States. Cloud and periods of sleet and snow across Sweden with strong winds here. More cloud and some sleet and snow for Denmark, although Norway should become brighter with sunny spells developing, although some showers in the west.
