Danny Berg, the Maccabi League Rep Team manager, told his troops to buck up their ideas after they were comprehensively beaten in their latest London Inter-League Cup match on Tuesday.
It was a night to forget for the Maccabi team who had looked so good in their opening when they beat the North London League 3-0.
It was an error-strewn performance from start to finish against opposition they, at times, made look out of this world.
The Turks led 3-0 at the interval and they added two more in the second half at Wingate & Finchley with Adrian (3), Kori and Daniel heaping misery on a Maccabi team who played the last 30 with 10 men due to injuries.
Berg said: "It was a night to forget. Our big players did not turn up and we did not compete."
All is not lost however, as Maccabi can still reach the final if they beat the Cypriot League next month.
Berg said: "I'll have several players available for the last game. They will definitely make a difference and we will give it our best shot."
