THE distraught parents of a missing Swansea City fan have now waited a month to hear whether he is safe and well.
Respected Neath businessman Jeff Trick has not been seen since he finished work for the night on Tuesday, January 4.
The 57-year-old's disappearance is said to be completely out of character and has left family, friends and the police baffled.
Detectives investigating the case have confirmed Mr Trick left his passport behind and they believe he has not left the area.
They have already put up posters at the Liberty Stadium, where Mr Trick was a Swans season ticket holder, and have now renewed their appeal for information.
Detective Chief Inspector Simon Davies, of Neath Port Talbot police, said: "The disappearance of Jeff Trick remains unexplained.
"Neither his family nor the police know of any reason for him to go missing. It is exactly one month since he went missing and we have not received any information or had any reports of any sightings since the day he went missing.
"None of our inquiries have taken us any further forward to finding out why he has gone missing and where he could be.
"His passport remains at his home and there is nothing to suggest he has travelled out of the local area."
Mr Trick, from Bryncoch, was last seen at around 5pm on January 4. He was reported missing the following morning.
He is described as being white with brown and grey hair.
When last seen he was wearing his usual works clothing, consisting of a shirt and tie, dark trousers and a blue fleece jacket.
His elderly parents, Jack and Margaret Trick, have already spoken of their concern for Mr Trick, saying: "We just want to know he is safe and well. This is completely out of character and we have no idea why he has gone missing or where he could be.
"If anyone has seen or heard from him, or knows where he is, then please contact the police."
Barry Aubrey, his business partner at Trick and Aubrey vehicle and body repairs in Neath, has said Mr Trick's disappearance had left him perplexed as he had no health or money worries.
"His parents are very upset, while I am struggling emotionally and with trying to run the business by myself," he said.
Meanwhile, police have carried out searches around the Bryncoch area and are again appealed for help in locating him.
Mr Davies added: "This is obviously a very distressing time for his family and friends, and I would appeal to anyone who knows of his whereabouts to contact the police."
