Morning Call: Rain spreads north - Brighter south, Jun 28 - 06:07

Brighter in the south, best sunshine in the southeast, with rain in the north Good morning, Fresher weather moving in to the country through today with low pressure to the west of Ireland. An area of rain will be spreading northwards through Northern Ireland and northern England this morning, some of it heavy at times. Drier weather should be edging into the south.

Sunny spells will be forming across much of central and southern England. The best of the sunshine across southeastern England. A warm day with temperatures at 23C in much of central and southern England, 19C in western parts of Wales.

A further area of rain moving through southern Ireland and then into Wales and southwest England tonight. The rain could be heavy on the hills here later. Rain spreading to southwest Scotland too later in the night.
