Thursday A fine and hot day across southern England, the southeast and East Anglia. Plenty of sunshine here and it will be feeling hot once again. More broken cloud in the Midlands, a few showers in the west in the afternoon. Cloudier skies in Wales, but breaks in the east of Wales. A few showers developing in the north and central areas, some spots of drizzle on western coasts. The thickest cloud through northern England and southern Ireland where there will be some drizzle at times. Brighter and cooler in Scotland with showers in the west, the best sunshine in the east. Highs at 28C in southeast England, 16C in northern Scotland.
Thursday Night Cloud and some heavy showers across northern England and parts of Wales. Further cloud and some showery outbreaks of rain for the north and west of Scotland, as well as Ireland. More southern and eastern parts of the country will have broken cloud, but it should be dry here. Lows at 8C in central Scotland, a muggy 14C in southern England.
Friday A complex area of low pressure extends from northern Scotland and into France on Friday. Cooler air will be sweeping eastwards, although the hot weather holds on for another day across East Anglia and southeast England. Cold fronts will be edging east taking some showers, a few of them heavy through many areas. The showers are likely to be fairly well scattered with good sunny spells in between, although in the southeast these may turn heavy and thundery as the cooler air arrives. Highs at 25C in the southeast, 16 to 19C for most other places.
Saturday An area of low pressure is off northwest Scotland on Saturday. An occluded front wrapped around the low will be bringing cloud and some rain to northern and central Scotland. Sunny spells, but also heavy showers in Ireland. For southern Scotland, England and Wales it will be a bright day with good spells of sunshine but also a few showers. Most of the showers tending to be on high ground. Highs at a cool 14 to 21C.
