A Mahoning Valley Scrappers
Scrappers 6, Crosscutters 2: CF Tyler Naquin (.438) had a double, two singles, a walk, two RBI and a run scored as host Mahoning Valley defeated Williamsport (Pa.) in New York-Penn League play. DH Juan Romero (.269) hit a two-run homer, and C Charlie Valerio (.281) also had two RBI for the Scrappers.
AAA Columbus Clippers
Clippers 4, Tides 3 (11 inn.): 1B Matt LaPorta (.306) doubled, and Chad Huffman's walk-off single with one out in the 11th inning scored pinch runner Ezequiel Carrera (.257) as host Columbus edged Norfolk (Va.) in International League play Tuesday. LHP David Huff (4.53 ERA) allowed two runs in 5 innings for Columbus.
AA Akron Aeros
SeaWolves 8, Aeros 5: RF Thomas Neal (.293) hit a two-run homer, SS Juan Diaz (.240) also went deep and LF Jeremie Tice (.381) doubled in a run, but host Akron lost an Eastern League game to Erie (Pa.). Aeros LHP Giovanni Soto (5-4, 4.00) allowed three runs in six innings.
Advanced A Carolina Mudcats
Mudcats 8, Keys 6: 1B Jesus Aguilar (.310) homered twice, doubled, drove in four runs and scored three times as host Carolina won a Carolina League game against Frederick (Md.). 3B Giovanny Urshela (.264) also went deep for the Mudcats. LF Anthony Gallas (.250) drove in two runs for Carolina. Mudcats LHP Francisco Gimenez (6-5, 3.82) allowed two earned runs in seven innings.
A Lake County Captains
Captains 5, Dragons 2 (12 inn.): RF Jordan Smith (.292), 3B Todd Hankins (.246) and CF Bryson Myles (.264) each had an RBI in the top of the 12th inning as Lake County won a Midwest League game in Dayton. Myles finished with three runs batted in. Captains LHP Shawn Morimando (3.67) allowed one run in six innings.
